Our brackets provide a quick and very easy system for mounting and joining railway sleepers for garden construction work. Our unique design is cheap, quick to install, and works with all sizes of timber railway sleepers. These brackets are a quick and easy system for mounting railway sleepers as driveway or pathway edging or straight edges, as well as building raised beds and planters, securing retaining walls and border edging, and many other simple constructions.
These simple domino-style corner brackets should be used to secure timbers at end-to-end joins. Simply press the sleepers together, and then use the bracket to secure them together on the internal or external joins. The bracket features 3 holes, 7.5mm diameter, meaning 1 or 2 screws can be used on each piece of timber for an extra-secure installation.
The smaller size of these brackets make them not only suitable for use with Railway Sleepers, but for general purpose DIY. They can be used for repairs, installations and much more. We call them domino brackets as they look a little like a standard 2 x 1 domino. As well as holding a resemblance to a certain pizza chain's logo.
Each bracket is made from heavy-duty British Steel. The rustic steel finish will rust over time, giving the bracket an aged and vintage look. The rust will not affect the strength and integrity of the bracket, it will just provide a rustic appearance.
All SleeperFit railway sleeper brackets are all covered by a durability promise, we use these products ourselves and stand by their quality.

Product Dimensions:
At Indoor Outdoors we have many products which we describe as Rustic Steel. This refers to the fact that the item will rust over time to give it that lovely orangey-brown vintage look.
When your product arrives, it may have small patches of rust forming, but it will be in its bare, Mild Steel state. It will be a mostly grey-ish colour. Over time though, as the item is left outside and exposed to the elements, a rusty patina will form on the surface of the steel which gives it that lovely hue. This can take time though, and depends entirely on the outside conditions. Heavy rainfall and bad weather will help it rust faster.
You can speed the rusting process up though, some of our customers have recommended using vinegar, salt or lemon juice on the surface to get that rusty look a little sooner.
Depending on weather conditions, we say it can take anywhere from several weeks, to several months to fully rust. Jason, one of our customers has shared a special tip for achieving that lovely rusty outer in just 2 days!
You can pour equal parts of distilled vinegar and hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle, along with a 1/4 of a standard cup of salt. Spray this mixture all over the product and it will cause an immediate reaction, rusting in just a matter of days!
