If you are looking to do large construction work outdoors, installing large sizes of rafters and joists requires some big and strong brackets. That's exactly what the HeavyFix Large Heavy Duty Rafter Brackets offer. These brackets make it easy to install larger pieces of wood, or even multiple pieces of wood all together.

Made from 2.5mm Galvanised Steel and with an optional coating for aesthetic purposes, these brackets are designed to hold up even when used with heavy or bulky wood. We have designed these brackets for use in our own projects so can testify to the strength and durability they offer.

To install, simply screw the back of the rafter bracket to the upright wood or wall you are adding a joist to, using the 8 screw holes on the rear of the item. Once securely fixed to the wall, surface or upright, place the wood into the bracket. This should be a case of just lowering the wood gently into the bracket to slot it into place. From here, you can now begin to further secure the bracket to the joist using the 6 screw holes in each side. We recommend using screws that are little under half the width of the bracket to avoid any screw clashes inside the wood.

As seen in the images, these rafter brackets can be used to hold multiple pieces of wood, the photos shows three 6" x 2" pieces of wood all packed in together to provide additional strength.
